In less than two years, I have the opportunity to become the first female ATA Master in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. In addition to meeting the requirements of my organization, I have created a list of goals that reflect what ‘mastery’ means to me. Over the next 23 months, I’ll be sharing my journey to Mastership and invite you to share in the experience with me!
Nothing is created in a vacuum. I’m thankful to the following who have graciously given me their time, expertise and support: Master Russ Duer, Master Alex Changho, Megan Turner, Tom Callos, Senior Master Tina Newberry and Chief Master M.K. Lee.
THE NEXT 11 MONTHS…
In addition to my regular training, I’m wanting to accomplish the following by Friday, July 13th, 2018 (the day I will test for my 6th Degree):
- 50,000 Pushups
- 50,000 Situps
- 1,000 Form Repetitions
- 1,000 Sparring Matches
- 100 Hours Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Training
- 20 Hours Boxing Training
- Complete 5 Public Testing Performances
- 80 Hours of Meditation
- 80 Hours of Spanish Instruction
- 1,000 Acts of Kindness
- Inspire 10,000 Acts of Kindness
- Read (and report) on one book per month
- Profile 10 Living Heroes
- Lose 50 Pounds
How am I going to do all of this? Slowly, consistently, and patiently. The only way I will be successful is if I am masterful in my habits. 🙂 Stay tuned and I will show you how I will break this down month by month, week by week, and day by day. I’m excited to start this journey and am looking forward to the challenges and victories ahead.
